Corridor moves your money from your bank account to your own accounts abroad. Not a third party's account — your own. The money sits in a wallet only you hold the keys to, including while it is on its way.
Invite-only pilot. We are onboarding a small number of people at a time.
People who earn in one country and support a household in another are usually choosing between a wire that costs $45 and takes three days, or an app that quietly takes 4% in the exchange rate. Corridor exists for one version of that problem: moving your own money to your own accounts.
Corridor only sends to accounts belonging to you. It is not a way to pay someone else, a business, or a family member. That restriction is the product, not a limitation of it.
Because the wallet is yours and the keys are yours, there is no account for us to suspend and no balance for us to hold. We could disappear tomorrow and your money would still be exactly where you left it.
Money added, money confirmed, money sent. Each stage is visible and independently verified before we show it to you — we never display a balance on a partner's word alone.
The payment itself is taken by a licensed payments partner. Corridor is the layer that makes the whole thing legible and keeps the money under your control.
Created on your device the first time you sign in. The key is generated where you are and stays there — we have never had a copy and could not produce one if asked.
From your bank account or card. A licensed payments partner takes the payment and does the identity check. Your card and bank details go to them, never to us.
We check the money actually arrived before showing it to you. If what the partner reports and what we can verify disagree, a person looks at it. Nothing resolves itself quietly.
To your account abroad, or to a wallet you already use. You sign the transfer yourself. We cannot move your money for you — there is no function in our systems that could.
This is the part worth being precise about, because a lot of services describe themselves this way while holding a pooled balance in the middle.
Holding your own keys means nobody can freeze your money. It also means nobody can recover it for you. If you lose access to your sign-in and have not saved a copy of your key, the money is gone — not withheld, genuinely unrecoverable. We walk every customer through saving a copy, and we would rather say this plainly on a marketing page than let someone find out later.
Corridor does not process payments and does not perform identity verification itself. Both are done by licensed partners, who are the counterparty to the customer for the payment leg.
Performed by our licensed payments partners under their own programmes, at the point a customer adds money. Corridor additionally screens customers against published sanctions lists, refreshed on a schedule.
Destinations are restricted to accounts belonging to the customer. Corridor is not a third-party payments service and does not support sending to anyone else.
Per-customer limits are set individually and are deliberately conservative during the pilot. Anything we cannot independently reconcile is held for human review rather than released.
We are onboarding a small number of people at a time, by invitation, so that we can talk to every one of them. The service is for people moving money to their own accounts abroad. If that is you, get in touch and tell us where you send money — we turn on destinations in the order people ask for them.
